Robert Janek, Vice President and Chief Information Officer – CTB, Inc.
Robert (Rob) Janek is a Vice President and the Chief Information Officer for CTB, Inc., joining the company in 2019.
As chief information officer, Janek is tasked with investigating the latest technologies in communication, data analyses and machine automation, and systematically applying these technologies within the CTB business units.
Janek has spent 25 years managing information technology, software development, quality assurance, project management and customer technical support. He also has extensive experience leading the development of large, integrated software solutions in the telecommunications and computer industries.
He most recently served as Director of IT for a large telecom company, implementing projects in the pursuit of digital transformation, including artificial intelligence and cloud architecture.
Janek holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he graduated with “bronze tablet” honors for being in the top one percent of all University of Illinois engineers. He earned his MBA from Illinois Benedictine College in Lisle, Illinois. He has been a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2006. In his spare time, Janek has coached youth soccer.
